Wonder woman, is wonderful!

Gag me with a spoon, like… Patty Jenkins, director got the comedy and adventure totally tubular!

If you have not seen WW84 yet I will not ruin it for you. However, I will tell you my favorite scenes and tell you why I loved this movie and share the amazing color of it all. I will also share why Wonder Woman means so much to me on this journey of Fannytasticlife!

“You are stronger than you believe. You have greater powers than you know.”

Wonder Woman, WW84 Movie

Total rad scenes dude!

Our loving hero returns Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and her handsome and charming beau Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) with new characters Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) and Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) complete a fun filled adventure that was colorful, entertaining and gave us the superhero escapade that we needed.

What we also gained was that 1980’s feel, the silly and corny joy that we all loved from that era, which brings me to my favorite scene. I had so many scenes that I adored and my stand out was when they had the radical, totally tubular, like for-sure scene at the Mall. May I just say as an 80’s born lady I loved this!!!

Each scene was energetic, powerful and what I needed.

Running with new power!

Visually the movie was beautiful and yes there was romance, tears and joy… from me watching.

A walk in D.C.

Loved Steve Trevor! He really brought an innocent humor to it all. Very caring, loving and heart wrenching. I don’t renounce his fashion at all! Bodacious!

Meow mama…

My second favorite scene or should I say scenes, was actually the growth and development of Kristen Wiig who played Cheetah, yes gurrl!!!! From new gal, to power doctor to fierce fashionista meow and finally apex predator herself!!! Love it, you will also if you are a true fan! This Cheetah was no KittyCat. She went from frizz ball to defined curl and then fur ball, all with allure. I loved the scene when she became 20/20 with cat like reflexes… definitely, you will see me with the knock off version of her shoes… and Gals!

I also loved Pedro Pascal who plays Maxwell Lord. Very handsome and you may remember him from Game of Thrones and from Narcos. He is originally from Santiago, Chile and has that sleek style and gorgeous nose I adore… just in case you were wondering he is 5’11 and 45 also I should mention he played a dreamer or wisher and he reminded me of a Elvis type character who had the infomercial charms of that era.

Wish granted!

Thank you GQ, handsome depcited here Pedro Pascal

May 12, 2020 British edition.

Also, to end the rumor they did not model Maxwell Lord, who was originally from the comic after Donald Trump says Gal when being interview in Variety. “…But we never tried to mimic anybody else. We never tried to mimic Trump or anything.” Gal Gadot in Marc Malkin interview in Variety, December 23, 2020.

“Get whatever you want however you can, and you’re entitled to it…”

Pedro Pascal, within interview with Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment, December 23, 2020

Righteous, most triumphant!

Some other mentions that I adored, was simple “Hey Jake” (Kelvin Yu) loved the interaction here and you will get this when you see it.

At one point, during the movie I had my face mask over my eyes… that was towards the end but totally worth the mention.

Loved the protection of children. The reliance of good in the world. This movie reminded me of hope even in 2020.

Original Gangsta circa 1975.

“There is a part of ‘Wonder Woman’ inside me and inside every woman, kind of that secret self that women share. We are all caretakers, giving birth, caring for our children and companions and loved ones.”

Lynda Carter

Lynda Carter, my child hero does she make an appearance… well you will need to wait and see. If you know me you know I love fashion. If you take a look back on my looks you will see a charm that I always use as my foundation and this is my Dianaprincesk looks… like these.

Family time at the movies.

My family and I, at the movies Christmas weekend. We are just having fun and enjoying the night of #WW84.

We had to make a last stop and take the picture with this amazing colorful poster. Maybe we were the last to leave the the theater.

Rockaway, AMC – please note we were all masked, socially distanced and the movie theater was at a low capacity, not to mention super clean.

Moments of Wonder Woman Mom.

When I was a child my father call me Wonder Woman, always. He had other names for me (Fanito, Chiquitita, Blaki…) but when I was in pursuit of justice he would say I was his Wonder Woman. This has always stuck with me through the years and I have continued to have this perspective on life. Also have fun emboding the fashion of it all.

Crime Shows… I love them!

You ever look at someone and think… hmmm “he fits the profile…” or that they the are a psychopath… maybe you find yourself describing a situation and you start by saying “allegedly…” or maybe you use the Columbo method where you determine, the break or lie in someone’s alibi… I mean story. If any of these sound like you, you must love crime shows.

“I’m not merely a paid gladiator fighting for those who have the funds with which to employ me. I’m a fighter, yes, and I like to feel that I fight for those who aren’t able to fight for themselves, but I don’t offer my services indiscriminately.” Perry Mason

The Case of the Stuttering Bishop (1937)

The love for crime shows started when I was about four… or so. While I was home, these shows were always on. I remember my Night Court be on and my mother laughing. But something about these shows always intrigued me. Here are some of my favorite in date order. I might be missing some (just in case).

  • Perry Mason, 1937
  • Columbo, 1968
  • Kojak, 1973
  • Magnum PI 1980
  • Cagney and Lacey, 1982
  • Murder She Wrote, 1986
  • Matlock, 1986
  • LA Law, 1986
  • 21 Jump Street, 1987
  • Law and Order, 1990
  • Law and Order, SVU, 1999
  • Criminal Minds, 2005
  • The Closer, 2005
  • Major Crimes, 2013
  • How to Get Away with Murder, 2014

Some of my favorite things about these shows is the mystery and the dark humor; satire. Other reasons I enjoy these shows, could be the dark and scary things that fulfills the adrenaline needs that we all have. So much information and knowledge to a world we only want to enjoy vicariously…or do we?

From crime shows I branched into science and crime shows. For example Forensic Files and then real life like snapped. The one tone voice of the narrator draws you in that you become numb to the actual crime.

Forensic Files, 1996

If you like a little paranormal and crime you can watch the Dead Files. This show is amazing and has a mix of both. Crime and Paranormal with the stars Amy Allan and Steve DiSchiavi, who work to find the point of pivot in the investigation of the real harden facts of evidence and the supernatural discovery of energies.

At the reveal table.

I love this show because they are able to review the facts of the location and Steve will research the town, interview the family and other main points while Amy will do a walk through of the location and pull together what she is able to sense. They meet with the family and go over their findings, which is usually mind blowing.

It’s time for the reveal!

“My name is Amy Allan. I see dead people.”…”I’m Steve DiSchiavi. I’m a retired New York City homicide detective.”

Intro from the show.

Now, one of my favorite must see shows that I watch when I fold the laundry has to be Snapped…. oh boy another wife has taken all that she can and is ready to let the husband, boyfriend who ever feel her wrath.

Happy home, cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children, feeding the pets, living the pets life and SNAP!!!!

The intrigue of this show is that they explain the strange cases of women who have been accused of crimes that involve murder.

In all, whatever crime show peaks your interest or who ever you may suspect fits the profile always remember to have a solid alibi especially on this journey of Fannytasticlife!

Como la flor🌹… for realz💋

Selena sang and we cried. Now, Netflix has a new spin on her life. We are spinning it up over here and streaming or podcast LIVE 🎙 on Twitch. Thank you for joining us in Season 4 on this journey of Fannytasticlife!

“I want to be remembered not only as an entertainer but as a person who cared a lot, and I gave the best that I could. I tried to be the best role model that I possibly could.”

Selena Quintanilla

Well if you love Selena like I do then you can appreciate anything that inspires us to think of who she was. Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was an American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, businesswoman, model, actress, and fashion designer. She was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson, Texas. She was the youngest child of three with her older brother AB (Abraham) and sister Suzette they formed a band under their fathers direction and experience from his band Los Dinos.

Through many challenges the sound of the band and Selena unique performance, energy and passion elevated them to a level where they truly became a phenomenon. Selena later on fell in love with fellow band mate Chris Perez, and then they were married. Unfortunately as we all know sadly, she later died by the hands of her murderer who was the President of her fan club. Which, I wont mention as I desire to give her no limelight.

The songs that she sang truly brings chills to us when we hear them, sing them or recall the emotions tied to them. One song that alway s brings me bitter sweet emotions and happiness is Como La Flor. One particular part of the song that I love to belt out and sing loudly is the second part.

Como la flor con tanto amor
Me diste tú, se marchitó
Me marcho hoy, yo sé perder
Pero, ah-ah-ay, ¡cómo me duele!
Ah-ah-ay, ¡cómo me duele!

These lyrics are talking about a wilting flower that dies after it is received and truly the pain of the separation of love. Very beautiful especially when you see her do it at her best. Selena performed this song in her iconic movement sound and brand depicted above in this image from the Astrodome, you can see on her Official YouTube page.

Since her she passed many of her fans continue to love her and honor her memory. In 1997, Selena the movie was released and Jennifer Lopez starred in this role. For many who grew up adoring Selena, they accepted Jennifer Lopez and her portrayal was very bubbly and full of love and romance and the magic that the original Selena embodied.

“Playing Selena was kind of a landmark moment in my career…” and about the Netflix series “…great way for this generation to get to know Selena.”

Jennifer Lopez, People, November 25, 2020 author Georgia Slater

Recently, Selena the series has come to Netflix, and originally I was brought to tears by the sneak preview. However, I became a skeptic through some of the costumes they wore and their hair but I was shocked by the portrayal of Abraham (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), the father and Suzette (Noemí González) the sister as they were very raw and honest. When I looked into I saw that the actual father and sister produced and approved the movie. Once I saw that it was genuine, I pushed my skepticism to the side and truly felt the love for Selena overall.

“I’ve been listening to her since I was way below single digits” and she told people how she felt about Selena, which was “This woman was a pioneer.”

Christian Serratos, People, December 03, 2020 author Emily Strohm

I love how in the series we get to see a different side, a new angle and perspective of the characters. We learn about AB, we learn about Suzette and her love and it truly gives us the allowance to understand the full dynamic. I wasn’t crazy about the hairstyles but then again, what do I know. THe last episode of the season, I was left on a cliffhanger, as if I dont know the ending. That feeling of wanting more really filled me with joy and desire to wait on pins and needles for Season 2.

In all, I love this story, please check out Selena’s y Los Dinos, music, movie, series as I feel you truly wont be disappointed. Now, Red lipstick on you can watch me as I LIVE Streamed my podcast on TWITCH below or listen on Spotify on this journey of Fannytasticlife.
